About Alexander Navas & Associates
About the Founder
Los Angeles is home to many celebrities and the lavish homes they own, many who are designed by the brilliant minds of the many interior designers residing in Los Angeles. It is no secret; interior designers have trade tricks up their sleeves. Edgar Alexander Navas, founder of Alexander Navas & Associates has the privilege to work with many of these well-known designers.
Edgar, was born in El Salvador, a country in the heart of Central America. In 1982, at just 14 years old, Edgar immigrated to the U.S. due to a civil war, which forced many Salvadoreans to flee their country to find safety in Los Angeles. As an immigrant in an unknown country and with a language barrier, Edgar managed to work several jobs until becoming an apprentice in 1988 to the owner of Stables & Schwabb, a custom drapery firm. Since then, and after perfecting his craft, Edgar decided to pursue his dream and open his own drapery workshop. He started with a single sewing machine in his garage, and slowly began building his clientele, mainly from references from satisfied customers.
